Please meet Dr. Mark Helm

Dr. Mark Helm has seen patients at APC since 2007.  He completed a pediatric residency at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in 2004.  Dr. Helm is active with American Academy of Pediatrics with particular interests in healthcare financing and evidence-based medication use, both of which he recognizes as not particularly interesting to most everyone else.  While completing his medical degree at Mercer University’s School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia, he met and married a Georgia Peach, bringing her to Arkansas in 2001.  Together, Mark and Jade live in Hillcrest, enjoying a simple lifestyle with lots of local food, continual home repair, and occasional travel.  They are members of the Chenal Valley Church. Prior to his medical career, Dr. Helm worked in the pharmaceutical industry after obtaining a master’s degree in business administration from the Pennsylvania State University   His undergraduate degree in business is from the University of Georgia where he also studied biology and chemistry.
